The Two of Us

This was my first piece after my husband died last year. I hadn't been in my studio for quite some time, but one day I was driving and saw two birds high above me, flying together in sync, and I thought, "that's us". I came home and went directly to my studio. I chose tissue paper as my medium as that was something my husband, also an artist, had used in his last work. A heavy Arches watercolor paper is my usual substrate and I typically keep a wide margin and a deckled edge.
