Dahlila Diminishing

Recently I’ve been attempting to capture with surreal photomontage the emotions I experienced when I discovered an assortment of photographs at an antique store. It made me sad to think about once-cherished keepsakes ending up disconnected from family, name and history. Everyone has a story, but those antique-store photographs (like these I found in cyberspace) were of anonymous souls. Their places are no longer composed of matter and their essence of human being and individuality have been lost to the vagaries of time. The series is “Anonymous,” and this young lady I call “Dahlila Diminishing.”
