Florist Table

Walking into a florist shop, like the ones in the village I live in, makes my senses come alive. The botanical floral notes, the textured vases, the humidity, and the beautiful colors make me so happy that I had to recreate all of this in a painting. The flowers in this painting are papers that were dyed from steamed flowers. The vases were made from rusted paper, antique music sheets, an 1880's ledger and magazine papers manipulated with a citrus all natural cleaning topic. Take a closer look and see what else is there.
